Got a set of winter wheels and tires for the new car! Went with Enkeis and Michelin X Ices. Car came with the 17" black 16-spoke BBS wheels and I went with 16" Silver painted 7 spoke Enkeis for variety.
17s definley look better but I appreciate how different the 16s make the car
look. Drives well too. Not snowy enough for a real test, but these feel pretty good. Maybe a little softer turn-in when you lean on it a bit,
but still drives well.
It will feel like another fresh look when I swap back to the BBS in the spring! So far, s uper happy with the car! Definitely spices up the commute over my last ride.
Hppy Saturday everyone!

They were on sale!
(And I paid for them with my end of year work bonus money, haha! Saved some money with the 16" too )

Aah ok, how much did they cost if you don’t mind me asking? 16" steelies for my Mini were $158 for a set before taxes and shipping. (Fyi they have the same bolt pattern 4x100 as the Miata)

Well they were definitely more than steelies , haha, but I really didn’t want to sacrifice the look. Got the set for ~$500, but add tires/mounting/balancing to that.
It was def a ‘ treat yo self’ moment with my bonus, haha, I worked hard this year damnit!

Ooh I know the feeling, I’m waiting for my bonus to buy coilovers, swaybars, etc etc for my Vette

That sounds like an incredible opportunity. I had to spend on pile of money on my BRZ winter rims because steelies don’t clear the brakes, and I had spend more than $500 on cheapo “FAST” rims...

Good choice on the Enkies. I've put 180,000 miles on my 18" Enkies. They're all still round after countless potholes and taller than average railroad tracks. Very good quality.
